Please excuse the delay while I am unable to retrieve the source

So, it goes like this... my Honors thesis at NCSU included, as its main topic, a Bayesian Network for representing a Student Model. I developed some software which taught the Japanese character set (Hiragana and Katakana) using the student model to represent the student's understanding of the symbolic correlations... and actually generalized the process to make it possible to test any symbolic correlation, including Kanji-English or Hanzi-English or Arabic-English, etc. etc.

After finishing the project, and subsequently obtaining a CSC Honors distinction on my B.S. degree, I created an open-source project on SourceForge (thanks SF.net!) and intended on placing the source within this project. However, the last week of the semester was a tumultuous mess since I had (finally) found out that I was accepted into an internship in China.

China!

So, now I'm in Hangzhou, working for a company (Huaxin) which has blocked all access to ports for useful services like ftp, ssh, sftp, etc. I cannot get to the source that I've placed in my school account because I cannot log into the servers and it's not accessible via http, which seems to be the only available service in the company. Furthermore, I cannot upload the source to SourceForge.net, either...

I'm currently working on a way to get internet access outside of the company so that I can transfer the source to this site and continue working on it. I'm a little wary of using the internet cafe's around here, because I don't know how secure the computers there are, and I don't want to mess around with logging into my school account through an untrusted computer. I'm hoping that a neighbor somewhere has an internet account that I can borrow access to for enough moments to transfer the data to my laptop, then transfer again to SF.net... until that time, my source is technically not open :(

It will of course be apparent as soon as this changes (which will be no later than August 15th when I return to the States). Check back occasionally since the situation may change before then, provided that I can find access to sftp or ssh during the Summer while I'm in China.

China! ... I'm still getting over that, even though I've been here for 2 weeks now, and it's pretty hard to deny that I'm on the other side of the world. But I'll refrain from making any comments on my experiences in this country within this notice, since it's not really relevant to the topic at hand. Drop me a line if you want to hear more about it, though ;)
